About the Author

Frances Stonor Saunders is a British historian and journalist. She is the author of several books, including Who Paid the Piper? The CIA and the Cultural Cold War, which won the Duff Cooper Prize. Saunders is a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society and a Visiting Professor at the University of Cambridge.
